Ani Kavafian, violin
Violinist Ani Kavafian, an artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, is a regular performer at summer festivals including those of Chamber Music Northwest, Santa Fe, Bravo! Colorado, OK Mozart, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mostly Mozart. She has performed as soloist with virtually all of America's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, and those of Minnesota, St. Louis, San Francisco, Atlanta, and Seattle. Her numerous recital engagements include performances at New York's Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, and the Krannert Center in Illinois. A winner of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Ms. Kavafian has been featured in numerous network and PBS programs, and has performed at the White House for three presidents. Besides appearing around the country with her sister, violinist Ida Kavafian, she is a member of the newly formed Kavafian-Schub-Shifrin Trio, in which she also plays viola.
