Miró Quartet performs Beethoven

In 1806, Beethoven wrote his three Op. 59 string quartets on the commission of Count Andreas Razumovsky. These "middle" quartets—numbers 7, 8 and 9 of Beethoven's 16—possess a distinctly "Russian" character, and were recently recorded by the Miró Quartet in their endeavor to record the complete series of Beethoven's quartets. Tonight the Miró performs the set of three "Razumovsky" quartets in succession.

Saturday, July 13
Kaul Auditorium, 8 pm

Sunday, July 14
St. Mary's Academy, 4 pm
