Sweeping Serenades, with Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg

A rare opportunity for Portlanders to experience Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg making chamber music, as she leads an all-star cast (including Martin Beaver, Phil Setzer and the Miró Quartet) through Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings and more for her CMNW debut.

Wednesday, July 17

Club Concert II

With the Dover Quartet, Yekwon Sunwoo and special guest Ida Kavafian. Tickets ($20) on sale now through the CMNW Box Office (503-294-6400). General admission, 21 and over only.

Thursday, July 18

Voices and Virtuosity

The return of Nicholas Phan — whose Oregon reputation is soaring with recent appearances at CMNW, OBF and Portland Opera — helps mark the centennial of Benjamin Britten's birth. With songs and instrumental works by Wolf and Mendelssohn, with Sasha Cooke, Miró Quartet and more.

Artistry and Innovation

CMNW presents works by Bach, including an arrangement of "The Art of Fugue" for String Quartet and Wind Quintet, and a CMNW-commissioned world premiere by Lowell Liebermann.
