Grammy Nominations Announced
It's no surprise that no less than three CMNW favorites were recently nominated for Grammy awards. Here's the low-down:
The Emerson String Quartet earned nominations for three awards for their recording of the Complete Mendelssohn Strings Quartets under the Deutsche Grammophon label: Best Classical Engineered Album (Da-Hong Seetoo, engineer); Best Classical Album; and Best Chamber Music Performance.
The Imani Winds earned a Grammy nomination for Best Classical Crossover Album for The Classical Underground, out on Koch International Classics.
The Fred Sherry String Quartet was nominated for Best Instrumental Soloist(s) Performance for their recording of Schoenberg's Concerto For String Quartet And Orchestra on the Naxos label.
